Calie looks after the media team for Southern Water. She has been with the business since 2015, following eight years as a senior national press officer for the RSPCA. Prior to this, she worked as a regional and national journalist.
Calie works on communications around bathing water, innovation and Fat, Oil, Grease (FOG) and unflushables and covers issues in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, as well as developing social media channels.
Outside of work Calie is a keen writer, cake enthusiast and slightly over-emotional animal lover. Her favourite beach is West Worthing and her claim to fame is that she once appeared as a 'confectionary expert' on Channel Four news.
Clare joined us in March 2016 from the House of Lords.
She has worked in communications for over 10 years, having previously worked in a number of Government departments, the NHS and non-departmental public bodies.
Clare works on Southern Water’s fat, oil, grease (FOG) and unflushables programme, affordability, market reform and takes the lead on working with the Kent region.
In her spare time, Clare loves to travel and is a member of a local amateur dramatic society. She also spends far too much time shopping for shoes, bags and books. Her claim to fame is being a drummer/athlete marshall for the London 2012 Olympic Games.
Nicola joined the media team in November 2016. She has been with the business since 2014 and working in our digital team, helping customers through Social media. Before joining Southern Water she was busy studying Journalism at University.
Outside of work, Nicola is a musical theatre enthusiast and enjoys spending her spare time walking the dog on Goring beach, reading books and shopping for shoes. Her claim to fame is being in the local pantomime for seven years running.
Simon joined the media team in August 2017 following a seven year stint working in corporate intelligence and financial public relations in the City of London.
Prior to this he was an award-winning national newspaper journalist in London and South East Asia covering stories as diverse as the hunt for Nick Leeson,- the banker who caused the collapse of Barings Bank, the Hong Kong handover and any number of City scandals.
Simon's brief covers water efficiency and innovation. He is the first point of contact for all stories in the Sussex area.
Outside of work Simon is a keen cyclist and hill-walker. His personal motto is 'No such thing as bad weather, only bad gear'.
